Social Media & Brand Management.

These two should be designed to be one the same. YouTube, Facebook, Myspace, the brands are the services and this sort of connection is what you would want for a growing company. let’s take a look at both branding and social media and what it could mean for you in savings, earnings, and success.

Social media are primarily Internet- and mobile-based tools for sharing and discussing information among human beings.[1][2] The term most often refers to activities that integrate technology, telecommunications and social interaction, and the construction of words, pictures, videos and audio. This interaction, and the manner in which information is presented, depends on the varied perspectives and “building” of shared meaning among communities, as people share their stories and experiences.

Brand management is the application of marketing techniques to a specific product, product line, or brand. It seeks to increase the product’s perceived value to the customer and thereby increase brand franchise and brand equity. Marketers see a brand as an implied promise that the level of quality people have come to expect from a brand will continue with future purchases of the same product. This may increase sales by making a comparison with competing products more favorable. It may also enable the manufacturer to charge more for the product.

How should you get your brand to a high level of equity in order to capitalize on the last line? Building a Social network into your company may also enable your company to charge more for the product. Look at Timex vs. Casio, Audi vs. Ford, or McDonalds vs. Fado the Irish Pub. The last example shows that even though a brand might be smaller, it is still strong, (Apple vs. Microsoft anyone?) and that can be capitalized on.

So when your company is expanding and you want to reach out in the company that puts money in your pocket- what is one way to streamline your image, business, staff, managers, and customers together? That’s right. Social Media and Brand Management.
